    Hi,

I’m practicing with watercolor to try and capture value and shape. I think I caught the likeness but can’t tell if the width/horizontal proportions are off. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to screenshot the source for comparison.

How do the proportions look to you?

This looks really impressive! While not having the original reference does make this more tricky, I did actually notice that the ear seems to be bent slightly too far angle wise. The head potentially could be too wide, but then again, I don't have the original reference photo to base this critique off of. The use of shading is gorgeous, and I wish the best for your artistic pursuits!

I think the ear is a bit too far to the side, and the back of his head looks slightly stretched. I think that's really the only thing wrong if the proportions (also ur values look really good)

Hugorice, I think you’re right about the ear placement and stretched proportions. I appreciate the extra eyes 😊
