March 15, 2026 1:18pm #40319Hello everyone.
After practicing for some time and studying some anatomy, I decided to do a long study.
Requesting critique, also attached is the original model.

P.S.
I can already see that the pelvis is a little narrow but it's too late to fix that :P
March 16, 2026 11:25am #40324Maybe practice structure. And draw couple skeletons. If the foundation is solid its hard to stretch out of porpotion.1March 18, 2026 8:28pm #40332Ooh, I really like your hatching, it's very neat! A few differences I see between your art and the model are:
1. The model's abdomen in your drawing is quite wide, especially in his pecs and shoulders, before tapering to a much narrower waist. To make this more proportionally accurate, it could help to roughly measure his torso width using the width of the head as a unit.
2. In your drawing, the figure's nipples are about level with each other, whereas in the reference, his left nipple is a bit higher than the right. Changing this would help show the contour of his chest and add more movement to the pose
I would recommend doing some shorter warmup sketches to help you get an impression of a model's proportions before going into detail with musculature, etc. Individual parts of his anatomy in your drawing look great (like his upper legs!! 🤯🤯🤯) and if each part works in proportion to the others, it will look even better!1 1March 18, 2026 8:28pm #40333Ooh, I really like your hatching, it's very neat!
