One day definitely isn't enough for something to change! :)
Animators use the line of action to exaggerate character movements a LOT! I studied animation in college quite a bit - for awhile it was my major - and line of action techniques was something they had us practicing all the time (thus why I named the website that!)
The short warm up practices, like the 30 seconds, are meant to force you to take in the big picture of the drawing and record as much info as you can about it in as few strokes as possible, rather than getting lost in interesting details. A HUGE number of proportion problems come from artists going too granular too fast, so training your mind to think first about an overall pose and not the little things like fingers or nose placement etc. will save you a shocking amount of grief in the long run.
Did you do the tutorial that introduces you to the line of action exercises to do during the super short time frames?

I appreciate that. I frequently feel like I'm just eeking by, even as I wish i could make everything free!

@Glacialfreeze I would LOVE to expand the lineup of nonbinary models! :D Thus far it's been kind of hard to get hold of them, but I am very much on the lookout.

Sigh. I was told that subscription payments were on hold, they didn't know why, but that now they are not and that we should be able to get through all the stuff that was on hold today. I'm going to DM you a coupon code for alerting me to this nonsense.

So, never fear, your practice streak isn't lost, it's just hidden right now. It looks like the last time you were actually charged was on January 20th, for 31 days of subscription time. It's just for some reason not charging your card, even though it's on file. Working with our credit card processor now to find out why.

Hi! I see on my end that you're a free member too. Let me look at the billing details and figure out what the heck went wrong!

They will be maintained for at least a year in case you want to resubscribe at any point. :)

I hear you! This is something we struggle with constantly. I have anti-spam measures in place that currently block, I kid you not, tens of thousands of spam posts per day. But some always get through. I am constantly working to adjust our filters, and spammers are constantly looking for ways to fool them, so now and again there are these breakthroughs where a dozen or so get through at once. I apologize for that.
I promise I'm always working on it, there's just never a solution that lasts more than a month before it needs adjusting again.

I'm so glad to hear that! :D

Gestures are generally a warm up for a longer practice. If you use one of the class modes on the site, you'll see that it takes you from the 30 second lengths meant for gestures all the way up to longer poses (10 minutes to several hours depending on how long a class) where you can work on other elements such as more accurate anatomy, shading, etc.

Honestly, I think at this stage, it's just about personal preference. If you feel you're learning things while using graphite, go ahead and keep using what you have. :)
