It does in fact already do some automatic reduction of the photo once we receive it; the problem is that it won't receive larger images right now in the first place. :)

Fixed for you. The only thing that should be inside your img tag is the number of the image. :)

I'll see what I can do about making this limit clearer and equipping us with a better error message so people know what's going on. :)

Yup, Sanne hit it on the head, 2MB is our current limit. I'm seeing if there's anything realistically and safely to be done about that, but that's what it is for now. :)

Hi Bookwrymling! I'm gonna have a few questions to try to narrow this down. First off, what's the file size of the image you're trying to upload? :)
    #2955
Are you uploading very large files?

It's super different now, I think they've even changed the name since then. :)

Max image size increased when viewed from the actual "sketchbook" page (you'll still have to click through for the forums)

Still working on setting up the challenges and would love input about that. :)

Greyscale mode and horizontal/vertical flipping of images has been added this morning as a feature to the drawing tools for members with a full subscription. :D

It's funny you ask this question today of all days, because my suggestion would be to flip the source material upside down -- try to trick your brain into seeing the figure as a collection of shapes instead of instantly going, "Oh, that's a human, and here's my set of pre-defined symbols I use for a human."
