Still practicing every day (for 3 weeks now!) I am trying to get longer lines of actions and longer lines/marks as per the nice advice I got here. Cheers

Hi hi!

First thing I noticed were the faces. I think that you have a great sense of facial feature differentiation and how you've drawn them makes each person feel unique. Some of the proportions are a bit imbalanced especially within the bounds of the face, which makes the features feel too small/large depending on the face I look at. Proportionally I think that the bald figure with the beard is your strongest! It feels the most balanced and mimics reality the best.

For the figures, it looks like you're "petting" your lines (aka drawing over them to get the PERFECT line) which makes them feel stiff. Drawing the line of action (omg website reference??) first is always a great way to start, so really try to draw the outer lines of the figure in a way that mimics the line of action already established. Next time draw your line of action, and try to do one or two strokes for each part of the figure! You've already started doing some of that here which is great, so just continue practicing :)

Lastly, you've captured great gestures in your hand figures! The hatching is a bit strong/overwhelming for some hands, so next time try to hatch in shorter strokes (unless there's a larger area of shadow of course).

Overall, you've got a good base to expand upon. It's amazing that you've been drawing every day for 3 weeks!! I'm trying to do the same, so I wish you the best and make sure to keep going!!

Thank you for your throughout review !
I do have a lot of room for improvement in terms of proportions, I'll try to focus on that a bit more.

I have been really trying to avoid "petting my lines" this week (but don't they deserve it though ? :') ), and I feel like most drawing end up worse... but the few where I get the lines right are much clearer, so... rinse and repeat I hope I will get it more consistently as I train.

Thanks for the supporting words and best of luck in your own challenge/habits !

I like the contrast you made with the shading on the face in the top right. The shading throughout the page is really nice. On some of the non-shaded faces the features feel a little two demential, Something that has helped me with the placing of the facial features is learning the facial plains and doing simple studies of those diagrams.
Hope this helps, I like your artwork and can't wait to see what's next!

"Too demential" or "two dimensional", that's the question haha.
Studying the facial planes seems like great advice, I obviously did not have a great mental image of cheekbones and how they start the "sides" of the face. I will try to observe that more.

Thank you for your message !
