Gesture Drawing Critique - Am I on the right track?

Hi. I did a 30 minute practice session.

I am new to this website, started this week. This is my 4th attempt at gesture practice (30 minutes class session). I am using A4 printer paper and a 0.5 fineliner pen.

Your gesture drawing looks good, but your detailed drawing needs a little work. Remember to keep proportions in mind, I know it can be difficult when copying a photo, but I would say you're on the right track, just keep practicing and making small adjustments in how you draw and you'll contineu to progress!

Try simplifying - focus on one clean line of action and basic movement, especially for short poses. The control and confidence will come with mileage.
