Bonjour,

Not much to say here, you're on the right track!

If you want to avoid a few mistakes, use a mirror (or a window). Seeing your drawing in a mirror perspective will help you spot small errors.

Keep it going.

this looks really good! the lighting is really appealing and the soft vs hard shadows look great. if anything, i think the arms are a little long/hands are a little big. keep it up!

I love that stated goal! That's my goal too. This is great! Is it pen or pencil? I like the idea of drawing with a blue pen, it's been a while.

@Frame Flicker and Stainless Jack, thank you very much for your critiques. I don't know why, but the reply button does not work anymore here :(

Hi! LarryBull.
I am happy to share my thoughts here that might help you achieve your goal.

Based on your goal, it is very good that there is a delicate level change in your shadow shading. It is important to add more variety.

Keep practicing the figure sketch will be very helpful too, and don't forget to try some human head sketch, especially face sketch. It will help your art to be more attractive.

One more little specific advice, if the light is coming from the left side, make the left side outline lighter and thinner, more heavier the other side will make your art more believable.

Glad to see you enjoying hand-drawing,  hope it can be helpful.
Best wishes.
