March 15, 2026 1:42pm #40320Depending on the pose:
If you are looking at it from a side view connect the bottom of the ribcage to the crotch with a curve line showing a little fat, then add some anatomical details like latissimus dorsi and show the iliac crest.
If you are looking at it from the front you can instead fill the empty space with the abs and a little fat for the pube.
It's hard to explaing through pure textMarch 15, 2026 1:18pm #40319Hello everyone.
After practicing for some time and studying some anatomy, I decided to do a long study.
Requesting critique, also attached is the original model.

P.S.
I can already see that the pelvis is a little narrow but it's too late to fix that :PFebruary 27, 2026 4:02pm #40280I think you are getting a general sense of proportions and it's good you're dividing the limbs and the body in sections.
Despite that I think your drawing seem a little two dimensionals and they lack the illusion of 3D.
To show that you can either draw solid shapes for the main masses of the body (chest, pelvis) or build a line hierarchy to show what is in the foreground and what is in the back.1 1February 1, 2026 12:29pm #40203requesting critique for 10 min sketch

February 1, 2026 12:27pm #40202Overall quite pleasant. To make it look more dynamic you could make the ribcage slightly tilted towards the right in opposition to the pelvis. The back looks a little flat, making the leg appear giant even with baggy clothing1 1 1January 9, 2026 1:28pm #40145I think you should learn to apply the "8 heads" proportion method, with half of the body being measured at the height of 4 heads locating the crotch.
In generals, most humans slightly diverge from this purely ideal standard but not by much. No human is 4 "heads" tall.
It will just become natural from practice, no worries1January 6, 2026 12:05pm #40129First critique for quick poses (1 minute)
