Hey Scott 👋,

Keep in mind the first circle you draw is only the top part of the skull, the bottom edge of which would be your cheekbones. 

Make sure you draw the ribcage in, like they show in the tutorial. The ribcage informs the size of the torso and also the pose of the body, so it's really important. 

I would do some studies using some of the other subjects, (expression + hands and feet), this should help you know the details of these parts, which will make drawing them quickly a lot easier.

Draw bigger to engage your whole arm and avoid stiff, scratchy lines. Focus on rhythm and flow instead of details. Try to capture the movement and weight of the pose. I recommend Proko’s approach on YouTube for learning how to build more dynamic gestures.
