November 6, 2025 6:48am #39958I love your lines and your style. They are clear, clean, exaggerating muscle physiology quite a bit, but with beautiful curves.
The problem with giving you advice is, that where you are makes sense. There are other places you could be, but they would not be clearly superior, just different. So sadly, the burden of finding your way through art space stays squarely with you.
You could start playing some more games to challenge you:
You could go for less details and bigger shapes, to see if you can reduce the number of lines and get towards more graphical elegance via a lower line count.
You could focus more on construction, to get from drawing from observation more towards drawing from imagination by manipulating point of view or finetuning poses.
You could pick a specific artist you like and try to imitate their style....
Those are just suggestions for games you could play. About what you should do.... meh, if I knew that.... maybe prepare for an actual finished piece, one you put a frame around and present it to others.... so you get a better idea about specific roadblocks between where you are now, and where you want to be.4 2November 12, 2025 7:44pm #39973Looks like you're having fun! You've got a lot of mileage and show a solid understanding of anatomy, gesture, line control, etc.
I would recommend slowing down. You seem stuck to what you see. Let yourself digest the information and marry what you see more with what you know. Slowing down and starting with a less chaotic structure you can add clarifying secondary shapes in addition to your bony landmarks and muscle outlines. You clearly already have a lot of knowledge in there: now you can step back and use it!1 1November 16, 2025 5:06am #39989Those are very good. It would be nice if you mentioned the time you had while doing these gesture drawings, but it seems like 60 seconds.
Given the overall quality, the confident anglar strokes, you most likely understand what your weaknesses are, it would be proportions. It comes with mileage, so just continue doing what you do. Later you might want to begin to incorporate some shading too, when you feel more confident about your proportions.1November 17, 2025 1:32am #39992thank you for the feedback! it was 1-3 minutes, and yes i struggle with proportions and structure due to the short time limit, i hope it gets better with time. i'll try to incorporate shading too, thanks!
