The expressiveness of the faces comes across marvelously, considering the sketchiness of the linework. These are wonderful pieces. A potential weakness is in the definition of the hair--particularly for those with long, dark hair, your attempts to show contrast lead to a loss of form. The second row, second column and fourth row, third column leave large gaps for contrast but feel poorly defined.

Thank you. As a personal challenge, I aim to express brushwork through the texture of the brush itself. I feel I haven't yet mastered conveying the flow in hair and beard depictions. The hair rendering you pointed out is indeed an element I still need to explore further.

Thank you for your feedback.

These are fun! Love the bold mark making. It makes me want to switch from my usual pencil to ink. How long did you spend on each? I recognize some of those faces

Thank you for your feedback.
The croquis sessions are set for 10 minutes, and I usually take around 5 minutes.
I used Expresii Paint software.
It was very interesting yet challenging software.

(I still struggle with compositional balance using analog materials,
so I'm also practicing with analog brush pens (oriental-style brushes) at painting classes,
but I'm not quite there yet. I really feel the advantage of digital tools.
Ultimately, my goal is to be able to draw with analog oriental brushes,
but analog materials are difficult because you can't move compositions or layer corrections.)
